RESEARCH TITLE: A critical evaluation of the efficacy of Policing and Forensic Science and their impact on the Criminal Justice System in the facilitation of justice in England and Wales
Abstract: TBD
About Shrey – I’m a Forensic Scientist working with the police and a part-time PhD researcher, with a real passion for both Policing and Forensic Science. My research focuses on understanding how these two fields impact the wider Criminal Justice System and how they can work together to make the system more efficient and effective.
In my day-to-day role, I get hands-on experience with the practical side of things, while my research gives me a chance to dive deeper into the bigger picture. This combination helps me connect the dots between what happens on the ground and how it affects broader criminal justice outcomes.
I’m particularly interested in how the different facets of the Forensic Science ecosystem come together, especially in areas where Forensic Science practices play a big role in policing and justice. I’m always eager to learn more and explore new ideas, and my goal is to help improve the way we use Forensic Science to support public safety and justice.
